ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
This is the initial product of a small group of revolutionary socialists who started meeting to discuss the international situation in late 2017. We were motivated by two things. First the global balance of power is in flux, responding in part to underlying massive changes in the forces of production and in the movement of capital. This has created a new and very different landscape from any in recent memory. US global hegemony is slipping away with rivals advancing—the German/French-led EU, Russia, and especially China.
Second, we in the US are part of what is shaping up to be the greatest upsurge of left political activism (much of it electoral at this point) in decades. However, within that tide too many fighters—veteran as well as new—don’t grasp how essential it is that we take on the global crimes of our ruling class, the US monopoly capitalist class, as a central element in our struggle. It is our internationalist duty. Yet even folks who do understand this duty don’t necessarily have a good sense of how to proceed in these tumultuous times.
We hope to engage with others who find themselves similarly moved by these two developments.
